Nutritional requirements of mature cats

The requirements of mature cats (over 10 years old) change with age. Premium nutrition takes this into account using different approaches:

  • Mature cats are more sensitive to calcium oxalate stones and kidney problems than younger cats; this requires adapting the amount of phosphorus in their diet and checking their urine (alkalisation).
